Follow the care instructions supplied with your particular piece. Its metal, finish, stringing and any treatments can affect the care it needs.

After wearing

Gently wipe pearls with a clean, very soft cloth. Keep perfume, hairspray and household chemicals away from pearl surfaces. Put jewelry on after your beauty routine.

Cleaning and storage

Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners on pearls. Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined compartment, away from sharp jewelry and hot, dry conditions. Let damp stringing dry completely before wearing.

Check the details

If a clasp feels loose, a setting moves or a strand looks worn, stop wearing the piece and ask a qualified jeweler to inspect it. Avoid pulling on a strand when fastening or removing it.
